Crumbly Lancashire
What is Crumbly Lancashire Cheese?
Lancashire cheese, made from cow's milk, hails from Lancashire County, England. There are three distinct varieties of Lancashire cheese. The traditional methods give rise to Young Creamy Lancashire and mature Tasty Lancashire. In contrast, Crumbly Lancashire (Lancashire Crumbly), produced in 1950, is designed for mass production and is the only Lancashire cheese produced outside Lancashire County. Typically matured for 6 to 8 weeks, it yields a crumbly, fresh, and high-acid cheese.
